ISIS wouldn't have that psychological effect on the SS. Those guys would've just laughed while replicating Lidice a thousandfold across the region, followed by mass hangings of ISIS prisoners. The SS wouldn't think too highly of ISIS. A bunch of cockroaches to the proud Aryan warriors.

The thing about ISIS is that the only reason they've succeeded thus far is because their initial targets were in the midst of civil conflict. Iraq was paralyzed by a lack of unity and stability since the American invasion, while Syrians duke it out over who they want to rule them.

Had Iraq and Syria been stronger, ISIS could've easily been dealt with. They'd be a bunch of losers in a sea full of them.

It's nothing new. People have been taking advantage of opportunities like this in politics for centuries. They just never had social media back then to document it.

I remember one of the relatives (IIRC) of a beheading victim challenged ISIS to a debate over the Quran.

ISIS, as expected, never responded. One wonders if many ISIS militants even know anything about "their" religion.
