Unfortunately, many people will support Russia because they "are taking a stand to the US."
Taking a stand to the United States doesn't mean that a country will be good. But on the Internet, I guess that's they way things work.

Yeah, no kidding. I've seen people justifying Assad, Saddam Hussein, and Kim Jong Un because "they oppose the US".
That's not how intellectual honesty works. You are allowed to, and SHOULD, oppose a lot of US foreign policy, because a lot of it is indeed irresponsible and dangerous. But you should not justify the actions of people who are just as bad or, even more often, far worse.
But some people do it anyway.

In capitalism, you pretty much have a 50/50 chance of being rich or poor. In communism, it's 1/99. What makes people think they have the luck/skill to become the 1% if they can't even succeed in a 50/50 society???

We should hold a referendum to bring back the Russian Empire at it's full height.

That would be about 6 ft 8 in (203 cm), the height of, by the grace of God, the most excellent and great sovereign prince Pyotr Alekseevich the ruler all the Russias: of Moscow, of Kiev, of Vladimir, of Novgorod, Tsar of Kazan, Tsar of Astrakhan and Tsar of Siberia, sovereign of Pskov, great prince of Smolensk, Tversk, Yugorsk, Permsky, Vyatsky, Bulgarsky and others, sovereign and great prince of Novgorod Nizovsky lands, Chernigovsky, of Ryazan, of Rostov, Yaroslavl, Belozersky, Udorsky, Kondiisky and the sovereign of all the northern lands, and the sovereign of the Iverian lands, of the Kartlian and Georgian Kings, of the Kabardin lands, of the Circassian and Mountain princes and many other states and lands western and eastern here and there and the successor and sovereign and ruler.

I doubt he'll be voted out of office. Many of the Russian people like him, perhaps because after years of feeling marginalized after the break-up of the Soviet Union, they have a leader in Putin who asserts himself on the international stage.

Let Ukraine decide what they want through a democratic referendum, overseen by UN officials from EU nations, Russia, and the United States. Also hold another UN approved vote in Crimea.
And whatever they decide, accept.
Ukraine has decided, they want to be left alone and to not have the Russians meddling in their affairs.

IIRC, one of the first things the Soviets did (well, after the German non-aggression pact, at least) was basically seize all of the territories that had gained independence following the dissolution of the Russian Empire.
From this I assumed that the USSR is not significantly larger, alliances discounted, than the Russian Empire.

So that's 188,248,184 non-Russian votes vs. 143,800,000 Russian votes.
Odds are in our favour. Bring on the referendum.
Don't forget a hidden clause that involves dismantling the Russian Federation in the event of a no vote.

Dismantle it into what exactly?
No worries. Russian Empire will come true. Next we shall bring back the Austro-Hungarian a Empire. *nods*
