yes many things are dangerous to society, but many things are necessary for society to function.

For example, you mention stairs. Yes stairs can be dangerous but they are a necessary aspect of many buildings.

Dogs are not NECESSARY for a society to function. We can easily envision a society without them that is safer and still livable.

So...how many times were you dropped on your head as a child? Outlawing dogs is, most likely, illegal, somehow.

To even seriously consider banning dogs is ludicrous. Dogs have been walking by man's side for thousands of years. I seem to recall (not 100% certain), that some estimate it to be at least 10,000 years or so. Dogs and man are entwined and inseparable. If and when we venture off to the stars and colonize other worlds, you can bet your ass mankind will bring dogs.

Let's ban babies. Landfills are overflowing with discarded disposable diapers. Plus, whenever a person settles in to try and relax on a bus or plane, what happens a baby cries. I was bitten by a baby on the train, and all the mother could say was "Isn't that cute ? It likes you." Babies are downright dangerous, and need to be banned.
