The mistake you're making there is to think of those religions as collectives. Christians have tried to destroy other Christians because of the mortal sin of following a different variant of Christianity. And currently extremist sunnites are literally cleansing those areas under their control from any other variant of Islam, because apparently Gleichschaltung is a nazi principle that is also popular amongst those who appreciate the prophet mostly because of his deeds as a warlord.
