The Israeli army bulldozed 1500 orange trees in a grove in Bethlehem owned by a Palestinian. The grove was surrounded by illegal Israeli settlements.

I guess they felt threatened by all those trees.

Arguing that Israel deserves all the land it has purely because it may or may not have controlled that land at some point in the past is an absurdly stupid argument to make, because you can apply that to almost any area of the world and use it to justify murderous irredentism.

The same argument is made by the Palestinians living in Israel who say that Israelis don't deserve to live there because the Arabs were there before them. Well if we go by that argument... That's simply not true because the Israelis were there before the Arabs invaded that region. Btw, to argue that someone's argument is stupid shows ignorance and disrespect.

Please, be specific, and cite your sources:

http://rabbibrant.com/2014/05/21/israel ... e-act-now/

He is a Palestinian Christian, actually. He claims his family has land registration going back to the Ottomans. They have a Facebook page if you're interested in details on the subject. Here, I'll save you a few keystrokes:

https://www.facebook.com/tentofnations

And here is a site giving another take on the story:

http://www.camera.org/index.asp?x_conte ... ticle=2723

Looks like more Semitic dramatics to me...

Okay, found more on the story, and this article is fairly good and gives a lot of detail and links to outside sources:

I'm going to be charitable with Israel and call it a case of diplomatic ineptitude, with a pretext of legalistic asininity.

Actually, some reports say there were apricots and olive trees and such.

I love cooking with olive oil, by the way. It's so much better than butter. Speaking of Jewry:

If I had to pick, then I'm pro-Israel, but a two-state solution and peace process is the only way to end this conflict.

I don't believe there should be any form of animosity and division of states based on race, culture or religion between any two groups, let alone between the Israelis and Palestinians. For this reason, I have adopted a neutral stance on the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

No but they control majority of the Palestinian legislative council and it doesn't have to do anything with Hamas but that doesn't mean I can't bring it up.

Hamas are bad (they were elected though), however, Israel did not need to intervene the way it did, they have the Iron Dome defense system, why do they have to kill hundreds of Palestinian's. Also Israel did kind of steal all the land they have.

Hamas is the governing body over Gaza. And the only reason the wars in Gaza started is because Hamas broke the 2005 agreement over Gaza which was signed by the Palestinian leaders.

Hamas wants to destroy Israeli and Israel. Israel wants to destroy Hamas and peace.

Maybe because Israel is richer?

How the hell can people 'feel bad for Hamas' because they have lesser weapons? Should people also feel bad for ISIS then, because they have lesser weapons than the US?
