And you think religion affects this, how? I mean, different religions view different things as sexually immoral. There is no one cohesive view on the thing.

Christianity was/is the dominant religion in western nations.

I'd link you to articles about how pedophilia and sexuality was rampant in medieval times, but the mods don't like NSFW stuff.

Suffice to say that, you should be happy 13 year old girls aren't forced to marry older men.

So?

So, since Christianity was the dominant religion, pretty much everyone agreed on morality.

You do notice the pretty much everyone part of that. That means that people disagree and disagreed with it. More than that you are assuming that the same morality existed across different sects of Christianity. Considering how and why those different sects appeared, this unlikely to be the case. I still fail to understand why it matters that the majority in the west was Christian. what does that have to do with some undefined sexual immorality?

When Christianity was a bigger part of our culture, there was more social pressure not to engage in sexual immorality.

You still haven't defined sexual morality and considering the US has always been a secular nation this makes even less sense. More than that, explain the views of some offshoots of LDS, explain the church priests. How far back are you going to go, what time period are we comparing now to?

Whoever wrote that story was a kinky mofo, and didn't understand reproduction. Baltlandia, do you believe in Adam and Eve?

I don't have a problem with incest, as long as the two (or more) people are in a committed relationship.

Oh and in the Flood story it wasn't just humans with massive amounts of incest.

You know about how the KKK wanted to kill Catholics for being the wrong kind of Christian right? Or the rampant racism everywhere, including Europe.

Sex outside of a committed relationship. It causes more problems than what it's worth.

The KKK weren't what people would consider mainstream.

And I'm talking about religion, not the rest of the shitty culture at the time.

Considering you are basing your thing on the existence of religion (specifically Christianity) and considering what many Christian sects say about sex, yes. I fail to see how it is immoral though. Also, you are aware that at least in America the view of sex started to change rather early in the 1900s, right?
