This implies that God only put us here to what he wants us to do, and knows what we're going to do before he even creates us. I don't see how anyone who reads that passage, and actually believes it, can call it anything but slavery. Sorry religious folks, but free will is a zero sum game. Either we have free will, and no one knows what will happen from one moment to the next, or free will is an illusion, which means life in our universe is nothing but a scenario created by higher beings to reap some benefit.

Another issue I have with that passage, is that if God did know the future before creation itself, then doesn't that mean he created a very large number of souls knowing full well that they would disbelieve, disobey, and end up in hell for eternity?
