I think Darwin was pretty wrong after agriculture came along.

Survival of the fittest didn't matter after that.

Well, survival of the fittest is actually only a part of the whole. It takes more than just brute force for life to succeed. You might want to read The Selfish Gene for some much needed enlightenment.
