Russian Radar can also tell the difference between Fighters and Commercial jets, while the Seperatists do not.

Meanwhile, Ukraine doesn't have anything capable near by where it was supposedly shot down, its very far inside seperatist territory.

And the Ukrainian forces do have Buks but that could only mean the separatist rebels stole a Buk from the Ukrainians in the rebellion.

That's not what I said. I said that they can't, because their Buks aren't nearby. They are quite a distance away, pushing back the front.

Buk missile system allegedly in an area controlled by rebels.

It's impressive looking. The question is did the rebels get it from Russia or stolen from an armory.

It could have come from Russia as easily as they could have recovered one from from a Ukrainian armory.

Edit: 23 Americans confirmed to be onboard the MH17.

Who said anything about the Russian Federation doing it? The general consensus is that Russian militants did it. Russian Militants=/=Russian Federation.

Also, Ukrainian separatists have no reason to pull something like this either.

As I said, they don't have the radar to determine if its civilian or not, probably thought it was a Ukrainian transport jet and shot it down.

Doesn't mean its obviously Russian. The IRA were supplied by stealing from the British, and getting them from Gaddafi and the PLO

Even then the IRA never had something capable of shooting a passenger jet from 33,000 feet up in the air.

No however they do have a stinger. However it is believed that the PIRA has no one that knows how to operate it seeing as it has never been used to shoot down helicopters of the RAF. Only machine gun fire. Still Stinger is no where close to 33,000

Well I gotta study my ASVAB so I will check back up here later. Peace out

Russia wants to annex the region, but it seems like Putin has come to the realization that it's not going to happen. Russian support for the separatists seems to be waning, and Putin seems to have been glad for the (previously) waning media interest in Ukraine. Things WERE cooling off.

Justice requires evidence and due process. Right now, all we've got to go on is hearsay, speculation and an alleged 'confession' produced by the Ukrainians.

So maybe just cool your jets for a while and wait until some actual facts emerge from this mess.

So what are the facts then? Hmm? We know that there is a practical state of war there, the area is controlled by by pro-russians, plus Kiev was in contact with the plane, so what does that say?

In response to the plane Obama is sending 100 special forces advisers to the Ukraine.

Putin has protested the move as rash and likely to escalate conflicts in the region.

Exactly. It makes logical sense that there would be higher turnout in the country where the incident actually happened. At this stage there is no evidence that Russia is connected to this tragedy in anyway.

Well, based off of this description, sounds like a textbook proxy attack.

Why, I couldn't tell you.

I can't think of a reason why Putin would give the separatists a ballistic missile system, especially a Buk. Putin would have known this would happen, even he's not that crazy. This is only going to get worse for Russia.
