Simple arithmatic would tell me that's about 7.052 million people.

Assuming even three fourths of those people want to come to America, you would have an influx of about 5.289 million people, or a little over the amount of people living in Colorado, spread out across the entire southern US and beyond.

1. That is a horrendous idea and nobody would back this up. You and I both know that putting them in forced labor would be an outcry from several factions - including several members of the white population. It is just an idea that is impractical and it smacks of pre-civil war era.

They primarily come from Central America and Mexico mostly because it's nearby, with a minority of people from other countries across the oceans, but that's a minority because it's harder to come through boat of plane illegally than what it is through land.

Okay then, let's do some more simple math.

About 24% of illegal immigrants in the United States come from outside of Central America.

So all we do is add 24% of the total illegal immigrants in the US to the 5.289 million we found earlier.

We get a cool 8.0622 Million. About the population of Virginia. They would make up about 3% of the national population.

Except for the fact the borders between Canada and the U.S. have been pretty much open for Americans (even to the point of making it as easy as apply because we have preferential treatment if we go and spend our money down there) and we can stay there for pretty sizeable periods of time if we want to. Therefore your claim is invalid.

Also, nobody is for illegal immigration continuing, but many people are for illegal immigrants to stay. I do it for economic and with the children humanitarian reasons, other people are either one or the other.
