I was looking at this sonic boom alarm clock on Amazon recently. Comes with a vibrating thing that goes under your pillow. Wasn't cheap, though.

I think the last thing someone going through feelings of being alone wants to hear is "God is always there".

I mean, sure, but God isn't going to speak back to me and give me physical comfort.

if you believed in god, it would be comforting.

The last time god gave someone physical comfort, he ended up getting a Jewish girl pregnant and everybody's still talking about it!

Try cardio. Something to wear you down so you're tired at night. When you have your diet all properly sorted out, of course.
Diet could be an issue. My diet is pretty heavy on fat and such, due to my grandparents' cooking.
Could be my work schedule too. I always get off at 10, and go in either at 12 or 5. 5 mostly, I've been forced into part time work despite others get 50+ hours.
There's not much in the way at that hour I can to inside to exercise, and being outside that late at night scares me, especially given my current situation.

Yeah, I saw that. Was pretty much the only thing useful to me.
But it costs nearly half a week's wages. I still have people to pay back, I need new shoes as mine are falling apart, legal fees, I won't expect to be able to afford it for two months.

I used to find reading really helpful when I had serious trouble sleeping at the right time. Often times I fell asleep with the book in my face.

Watching TV in bed also seems to do it for a lot of people.

All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.

Yes, however it can lead to poor quality sleep, from what I've read. Also, bright glaring light can prevent your body from producing enough melatonin to aid in good sleep. Sleeping with the television on is also pretty bad. The few times I've done it resulted in crazy dreams and waking up after just a few hours feeling very groggy.
