I'd say that I was sorry, but there's a "Misery loves company" thing at work, as well.

People who carry or wear the flag nowadays definitely give the impression of being racist.
I'm not sure if the Confederate flag would be easily recognisable to, say, a high school student in the interior regions of China.

I am only a high school drop due to social-economic situations beyond my control. Besides I had some really shitty teachers and made more money working a job then sitting around all day being told I was stupid and being mentally abused by said teachers...

I would guess not, but I am not sure because I didn't bring one when I went to China. Some of my students in Shijiazhuang did know what the Boston Tea Party was, though.

The educational system in certain parts of the US is pathetic at best...quite sad really...I recall when I was in elementary school I had an english teacher that told me I had to go to college because I was full of potential compared to my classmates, but my high school experiences really made me despise higher learning and made me long for the day I could just leave and never come back...

I'm actually rather impressed...I mean that the communists would let the kids learn about the Boston Tea Party...
interesting...

High school, believe me, is in no way "higher learning". College is an entirely different experience.

Not a week goes by that I don't wish I had the time (and money) to go back to college. Might be because I'm a corporation instead of a true Southerner though.

You probably could! If the Republicans haven't totally gutted those sorts of programs where you are, you could probably get an adult education scholarship or grant to a local community college or something like that if you looked into it. Night classes, things of that nature. It's far from impossible! Don't give up on getting yourself educated.
