They shouldn't be forced to wear them.

And to be honest, how did skirts evolve to be female clothing? Seems like they would be more practical for men since they would allow more freedom for a certain area.

I don't see how that changes anything. If they shouldn't be mandatory anywhere, they still shouldn't be mandatory in a uniform.

If it's a private school, they can make you wear whatever they want. If it's a public school, there shouldn't be any gender-specific language in the dress code at all.

Why would you do that when you can stand? It's completely pointless. It's not necessarily more hygienic, it's not more comfy, it's not 'more egalitarian' and I object to that characterisation.

Why should a skirt be a uniform for females?

You're really dodgy about these questions.

I think uniforms should be open in general for all schooling with minimal change (Enough for jewelry, added clothing like I don't know...a jacket....so long as it doesn't break the design to much)

Hm...that might just be my fetishism for that, seems odd I support uniforms anyways when I'm against identical design as a whole...then again remembering my School experience it isn't all to bad of an idea :Sigh's:

Overall the skirt thing?

It largely depends on the School, I don't really care myself, you go there to learn, but if you want to make things less distracting, make sure the skirt is of average length or give them pants.

...The distraction issue might not work anyways...at least for an aspie....I love looking at stuff...

The Uniform issue as a whole can be an annoying conundrum to me :\
