Skirts, trousers, wear whatever makes you happy.
I for one would not wear a skirt, I'd rather wear a kilt. May in fact buy one someday.. or two.

There should be a dress code but no uniforms.

Girls can wear skirts if they want but it shouldn't be mandatory.
