Irrelevant. This constitutes a logical fallacy in any case. The presumption here is that people should have a stake on those issues which most concern them, without regard to the morality of their policy decisions. It's an absurd argument, especially if one believes that fetuses should possess any rights.

Most people that oppose abortion, oppose it because of their religion, Christianity.

Incorrect. They oppose it because they believe that fetuses should be entitled to human rights. Christianity may factor into their perspective, but it is by no means the sole determinant. In fact, I would argue the pro-life movement emerges necessarily from liberalism as opposed to Christianity.

Do you know what else is forbidden by Christianity? Masturbation. What if all religious females opposed male masturbation? Exactly. It would be an outrage.

It's not a religious argument, so this point is moot.

What if they tried to make male masturbation illegal? The point is, your genitals are nobody else's business. You are a politician, not a gynecologist.

Human rights are everybody's business. The question is whether fetuses are deserving of human rights or not. There are decent arguments against the pro-life movement, some of which I support, but this isn't one of them.

She actually turned pro-life. Can you imagine being her daughter and thinking, my mom went all the way to the Supreme Court to try and kill me before I was born? Try to look at this issue from a personal point of view. Talking about fetuses using only scientific terms and never really giving them the unique human identity that they have makes abortion seem less bad than it really is.

I must have missed the part where slaves in America used bodies of women against their will.

I mean if you're going to compare something to slavery, let's compare forced birth. When you deny a woman the choice to her own body, you are telling her she has to right to make her own medical decisions, you are telling her that her body is no hers to use as she pleases, you are punishing her for using her body, you are forcing her to endure months of suffering, followed by hours or days of extreme pain, on top of the huge financial burden. Forced birth is far closer to slavery than choice.
