There are many problems in the world that are not easy to solve. Poverty. Climate change. Water distribution.

But this, this is just asking for a massive conflict to begin. Why do people create problems? Religious fundamentalism...

But what do the the people think?

If more people see ISIS as the legitimate caliphate, the oil lords from Saudi Arabia and Qatar will flock to them.

Al Shabaab have already sworn allegiance to them. You can only assume that more groups will follow because of their declaration of a caliphate. Why do you think Osama Bin Laden became so prominent? Because he had the money to bankroll jihad. You think there aren't other wealthy oil lords willing to do the same now that Al Qaeda are virtually irrelevant?

ISIS are successful, and success brings followers. That is the most important thing.

This is a pretty sad excuse for a Caliphate Abdullah ibn Abi Quhafa would be pretty disappointed. All I can see is these fucks getting rained on and hit with the military forces of the strongest armies both regionally and possibly internationally.

Indeed. No matter what happens, the future will be interesting. To say the least.

I'm actually thinking that they won't attack Baghdad or Damascus just yet, but maybe Saudi Arabia. With the support of local rebels and the fact that King Abdullah is going to die any day now, they might have a chance.

Bets on Saudi Arabia coughing "bullshit" before long?
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.

Saudi Arabia is also run by a bunch of nutwing Sunnis, and it has the monopoly on Mecca. If they say "Fuck You" to the ISIS caliphate, it's not going to putter along very far.

Doesn't make your opinions valid nor does it shield you from criticism. Deal with it, preferably in a way that isn't whiny.
