Really? I mean, it's pretty much fight some titans, some semi-important characters die, some backstory, rinse and repeat.

To be fair is what I hate about the party system in prior FF games: you always have a third leg that is useless as shit unless they have some sort of super-OP magic that nullifies their uselessness.

Up til FFX-2, and XII, all your characters were controllable by you during battle. If one died, you could still use the other two. XIII eliminated that and it was infuriating.

One thing I'll say about XIII is that, graphically speaking, it was brilliant.

Lightning Returns made away with the three member party system altogether and replacing it with the schema system, which for that particular trilogy was a God sent.

And yes, but what I am saying in regard to the old party system is that, where you had characters joining the plot later on in the game, you had to either grind the shit out of them or HOPE they had good stats and/or good OP magic, otherwise they were useless as fuck and you might as well use one of them as a tank.

then the second half involves the Survey Corps trying to stage a coup against the king

If you're looking for something longer that's a lotta fun, I've been watching Fairy Tail as of late. Love the soundtrack for that show- the music was how my sis got me to start watching. "*driving up to Fanime* Wow, this music is really nice. Who's the artist?" "It's actually the Fairy Tail soundtrack." "Oooh?"

Honestly, I used it with my brothers only to unlock programming that came in the N64 and unlocked more features. We never used it to cheat.

You know, I tried watching One Piece, but it never really captured my attention. In fact, after watching Symphogear (reccommended by Ameri), and SquidGirl, I haven't seen anything that truly appeals. At least not to me.
