No one the U.S. was founded as a independent soverign nation.

And two a country is alwasy better off as a soverign nation. If they are independent then they are better off cause only your countries people know what is best for them.

A country is far too big a grouping of people to ever have the unity you'd need for that to work. If you made every street independent, maybe you'd get there.

Edit: To clarify: the claim made in the quoted post is that the people of a country are the only ones who know what's best for them. Given that a country normally has some millions of people, this is obviously far too big a group for the implied unity of needs and purpose to actually be present.
