It's a tough act to follow.

"Superficial, loud, self interested, and have very strange and naive views about the world"? You practically described half the Internet.

I will admit that Americans are very loud, no doubt, however I've been to the US twice now and they're also very friendly. Ignorant and annoying people are everywhere, not just the US. And their healthcare is indeed messed up, especially because it's so expensive.

Ignorant and annoying people are indeed everywhere but i've never experienced quite the concentrations of the US. As i've said I find the American friendliness to strangers to be extremely superficial in comparison to that I know elsewhere.

There are other places where I feel much more comfortable living in than the US (in general) for a multitude of reasons, some of which I share with the OP. But all in all, the US is not on the top of my list.
With that said, I'll probably, eventually, find myself living in the US again... but I assure you, I won't like it one bitlol

Exactly how can friendliness be "superficial"?

Well, at least it's not France where everyone is rude to your face. I'd rather take fake friendliness over legitimate rudeness.

Don't say that. "Attempted" does not give you the right to say Anything Mr. OhI'mAwsomeBecauseIBailedOutAtBootCampBecauseTheDrillInstructorCalledMeABadName. Because you don't get any sort of entitlement.

You seem to be a thoroughly pleasant person who is going to have a long and fruitful stay here.
