All you need is bankers demanding the Chinese to invade as the default hurts the bank's profit margin. Those corporate CEOs will likely be willing to commit high treason if it meant they get 50 to 100 million in stock options for beating Wall Street expectations.

I don't really know if you heard, but we will never default because we have unlimited money to spend.

Also, CEOs are rarely cool with committing high treason to start a war because high treason tends to be bad for one's person and a war tends to be bad for one's finances. Funny how that works out.

Remember, they can always flee to Ecuador where the US can't extradite them.

Gun crimes are more common in Ciudad Juarez and Michoacan. There's a reason I said randomly, though. You only get shot here if you're in the wrong type of business or you personally insulted someone. Not like the states where simply going to school you run the risk of getting shot. And yes, an abarrotes store is a grocery store.

Plus, I live in the calmest state in Mexico, all I have to worry about is getting ran over by douchebag taxi drivers and pissed off bus drivers.

Comparing the maps though it seems that throughout Mexico has a higher murder rate than the US.

Because all the economic activity is happening in Ecuador and being a deposed finance magnate on the run from the law and continuing to work for lots of money is a possible thing.

I don't disagree with you, but regardless of what the maps say, you aren't going to get shot just because someone feels like it. Stabbed, maybe, but not shot.

I'm sure. I'll wait for the no-doubt inevitable collapse of the world economy for no apparent reason because somehow American businessmen will betray their government and manage to get China to invade at which point China will win and those businessmen will have profited. Somehow.

There's mutual funds that exclusively invest in China. Wonder if that might be an ample motive for these bankers to profit off their new overlords annexing lands. Of course, that's a discussion worthy of a different thread and at this late hour I'm not willing to author such a thread.
