Oh my mistake, appearently there is a community in Atlanta called Bankhead. It's not that bad, infact alot of the lowincome areas and projects were killed off. That has done good for the area.

Be careful about leaving the windows open if you live in a major city and are on the ground floor. It's probably less common here than in South Africa, but people do sometimes climb in windows and grab stuff if they know nobody is home. I lost $100 that way and my cousin had a laptop stolen.

OP, you have valid reasons for not wanting to live in my country. But you really could have summed it up due to the fact that it's a cultural difference. The fact of the matter is, America is not Canada, and you are a Canadian who feels comfortable in a Canadian setting and surrounded by Canadian people. And you know what? I salute you, and your decision to not live in my country. Contrary to what some people may believe, America isn't for everyone, and that is a natural and healthy sentiment. Just as I would never live in Canada (unless I was forced to flee America due to a meteor strike or something), you wouldn't live here. While our countries are extremely similar in many ways, there are those key, intangible differences that are integral to national identity that separate us, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

To be fair, there is no cultural differnces between Canada and the US. They both based on protestant anglo-saxony.

What made the division between the two are the American revolutionary wars. Thoose who ancestors fought for the loyalists are modern-day Canadians. If Washingong have lost his war than Canada would be spreading acroos whole Northern America.

I agree that both of our nations are largely from Protestant Anglo-Saxon foundations. However, the differences come from the divergences since the American Revolution. We went through different experiences than Canada did. We never had a large French population. Canada never conquered its southwestern territory. Canada never had a nation-shattering civil war. Also, Canada remained under the British helm for much longer and is constitutionally rather different from us. Sure, we both use civil law (along with the rest of Anglosphere), but our brands of federalism are quite different and we are a republic, and Canada is a monarchy.
