Aaaaand Arsenal's season goes down the plug hole. We need to bag a goal-scoring striker and a strong, world class centre back before we can even think about challenging the big teams.
This is the IC re-incarnation of Cyborg Holland. Add 2971 posts and three RWC final losses.

Alternatively, try and score goals in a manner that doesn't involve waiting around for everyone from both teams to be mucking about in front of the net. That would help.

Not been a great match for the auld fantasy league team. Szczhesny(1) and Ramsey(2) did nothing, Baines(5) clean sheet and McGeady didn't play. I suppose I can only hope Baines or McGeady(if he comes on) scores otherwise any other alteration from the current 2-0 score and it will be a shite day results wise.

EDIT: And now its 2-1. Ramsey now 6 and Baines 1 and McGeady is on.

Of the two goals, the first was only half like this and the second wasn't. Probably should have been able to get closer to a third but, really, the difference was the substitutions... Everton were weary towards the end there.

Not fond of it.
I'm generally not fond of Welbeck at all. Keep him as a backup to RvP and Rooney, where he belongs. Spurs already have a great contingent of attacking/wing midfielders; all the AMs can lay on the wings, and all wingers (save Townsend, possibly Lennon) can play as an AM.
Chadli-Eriksen-Lamela is my preferred lineup, with Townsend-Holtby-Lennon the second line. A spare one might be nice, but Welbeck is too expensive and too good to be a 3rd choice; he's definitely a second choice for top clubs or first choice for mid-table down. Pick someone out of the youth team to take the occasional bench spot or start during a league cup match in case of injury. Heck, Kane could even play as an AM, or rather a deep striker.

No, I'd much prefer Chadli out left. Welbeck would do better at a mid-table club where he is more needed.

People don't seem to like Chadli as a starter option on some of the Spurs boards that I visit, saying that he lacks pace and all that. Sure, he doesn't have Ronaldo-esque speeds, but the point of playing him would be that he brings a physicality to the middle/wings (interchangeable front three and all that) that Eriksen and Lamela both lack. Plus, he's got a vicious shot on him.

Townsend is fine for now, but that's just it-he's "fine". Eriksen and Lamela are generational, future-Barcelona talents. We need a young player of their caliber.

Kane makes for a brilliant attacking mid/second striker, as the Limasool game showed, and it's an option that Poch should try to revisit. Eriksen and Lamela step on each others' toes too much, so maybe having Harry being between them should help a bit.

EDIT: Forgot to talk about Welback, lol. What you said is right, and maybe Holtby deserves a go at attacking mid before we give him the center to roam free. He's a ticking time bomb even when paired with Capoue.

Well, that was 3 points in the bag, but tired legs took that away. Also, #DistinOut

You lot definitely need another striker. Giroud is good but he is a 4th-placed striker, and I don't think Sanchez will be playing up front again any time soon.

No idea where you're going to get one, though, there's none about for any sort of deal. £20m for a 1 year loan of Falcao or £70m for Cavani. Your pick.

Just saw the Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper goal/no goal. Ref was completely in the wrong, there was absolutely nothing to warrant calling the goal back. AB needs to appeal to get the goal, and the point, back.

If you really wanted to correct that decision (assuming it was incorrect; I haven’t seen it), wouldn’t you have to replay the match from that point? And wouldn’t that get really annoying if the referee awarded a throw-in to the wrong team in the first minute?

Eh? The clock in the video says that’s in the fifth out of six minutes of additional time.

Questionable rubbish decisions happen all the time (unfortunately). There's nothing in any rulebook that would allow an individual decision that isn't disciplinary related to be appealed after the match as Saug suggests and I would hope it stays that way.

That said, you have to wonder how much money the officials were paid to make that call.

Maybe the ref is against Basque separation?
Honestly no clue what he was thinking. If it was the linesman calling offside, said linesman must be blind.

To be fair, Everton shouldn't have got that second goal. Lukaku's run wasn't 100% clean and then Naismith was offside. Add in Everton as a whole in the second half, it was the fairest outcome.

Why did I not pick Azpi as captain? 8 points. My captain: Bony, 4 points with bonus.
Well, tbh a defender captain usually isn't a good idea. Even though this week my defenders have almost already outscored my attackers, with Kompany and Kolarov yet to play. All three attackers combined for 9 points. 9 bloody points. Better than last week though, only 4.
Given the fact most of my team is Spurs and City (along with a trio of Everton players and a few other stragglers) I still have most of my points to come tomorrow. 20 isn't bad between Swansea, Everton, and Villa.
Trying to debate who, if anyone, I should replace Barry with. Decent to keep on the bench since he was cheap, but not terribly likely to pick up many points.

I actually pick them to stay up. They're fierce fighters and although I think they will succumb to the top clubs, they can hold their own against and even beat mid table clubs and lower table clubs.

I was not aware Deulofeu went out on loan.
Afellay loaned, Bojan left, Cuenca left, Deulofeu loaned, Suarez suspended, Tello loaned, either Barcelona need to get their hands on a new winger (at the expense of Song) or Iniesta is going to spend too much time on the wing. Or perhaps Adama, Nieto, and Dongou will become regular 1st team players.
I like option 1 best...
