Mandatory cure, nope. Optional cure, yes.

Yes it might impact their sociability, or their ability to function within a so-called 'standard' society, but that doesn't mean that people with autism have anything less to contribute than anyone else. I would imagine that if it were possible to remove the causes of autism, this world would be missing many of its great artists, inventors, mathematicians and scientists.
Perhaps we should cure creativity, along with compassion and any other abhorrent weakness that seems to plague these lesser beings in the eyes of you, the 'normal' man. How very dare you.

Well we autistics wouldn't take over the owrld through war. If we ever take it over, we will mostly likely do it be taking per the government, science people, and economy. Then we make armies or robots and enslave the non autistics.

If I tell you the hero's name, would I get chewed out for it? It's a joke, really.

they present completely differently, adhd kids do not play in stereotypical manners. the dx for autism is as the link says. while kids with autism can have adhd symptoms, kids with adhd do not fit the criteria fo autism, (they can have one or two of the same symptoms) and the treatments and educational metholdologies are radically different

Doesn't ADHD just make you hyper and have time perception differences. All I really know about it is from Percy Jackson, which isn't the best place to get info.

no, the theory is that the portion of an adhd kids brain that exerts control over the rest of it, in freudian terms the superego, i dont know what the proper term for the physical portion of the brain, runs slower than the rest of it, which is why drugs like ritilan, which is a form of speed, actually speed up that portion of the b rain so it can function in a somewhat normal fashion.
i am not mearly as up to speed on adhd as i am as autism because i dont have to deal with it on a day in day out basis.

I think that the cure should be mandatory for those whose symptoms are so severe that they cannot make the decision for themselves, as there will always be caretakers for those who cannot function on their own who will deny their charges treatment, whether it be because of some idiotic religious belief or because they are unable to accept the thought of not having total control over their children's lives (some parents are insanely and dangerously overprotective like that).

You know, if there were a cure and it was denied to an ASD person, particularly on the low functioning side, due to a religious reason, I'd say that would be irresponsible.
