Why ? Marriage is not required for procreation - it is merely a convenient package of legal contracts.
So why not abolish it alltogether if we keep fussing over who can or can not get said package ?
You see, it is not that simple.
Animals go out and fuck the first thing they see if they want to, and not even all of them. Even swans and dolphins have long-term relationships which can be called marriage.
If we abolish marriage and let everyone have it with anyone, Earth would be a huge free-for-all.
