AFA: Don't Open Mail Bearing Harvey Milk Stamp!

Postby Yumyumsuppertime » Wed May 28, 2014 4:44 pm

Warning: Video starts automatically playing at the link.

So the American Family Association (for straight Christian nuclear families with one parent of each sex) has decided that since they've lost the battle on marriage equality, it's time to strike a blow in the name of morality when it comes to our mail services. To this end, they're suggesting that good Christians not only demand another stamp if they're offered the Milk stamp at the post office, but that they should refuse any mail bearing the stamp, and instead return it to the sender.

Am I right in my thoughts that they're simply grasping at straws here, desperately reaching for any cause whatsoever to gain some publicity in the face of their ever-increasing irrelevance? Or is this being seen as a real and immediate threat? Or would turning Harvey Milk around and licking his backside simply cause uncomfortable stirrings for them?

May 27, 2014

With last week's release of the Harvey Milk postage stamp by the United States Postal Service, AFA wants you to know the truth behind it.

The Harvey Milk stamp was a result of seven years of lobbying by a self-described drag queen (a biologi cal man with implanted breasts) and former transsexual prostitute Nicole Murray Ramirez of San Diego.

Honoring predator Harvey Milk on a U.S. postage stamp is disturbing to say the least. Harvey Milk was a very disreputable man and used his charm and power to prey on young boys with emotional problems and drug addiction. He is the last person we should be featuring on a stamp.

Note the hypocrisy of the postal service's "Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee," which claims it "commemorates positive contributions to American life, history, and culture," but specifically states st amps "shall not be issued to honor religious institutions or individuals whose principal achievements are associated with religious undertakings or beliefs."

Randy Shilts, a homosexual San Francisco Chronicle reporter, wrote a favorable and sordid biography of Milk in "The Mayor of Castro Street: The Life and Times of Harvey Milk."

According to Shilts, Milk repeatedly engaged in adult-child sex and advocated for multiple homosexual relationships at the same time.

Unfortunately, the deed is done. The United States Postal Service honored a child predator at the whim of a drag queen. Read AFA’s press release here.

Furthermore, the radical homosexual lobby will undoubtedly encourage businesses to use these stamps - all in the name of inclusiveness, political correctness and diversity. This is not diversity; this is perversity.

What you can do…

1. Refuse to accept the Harvey Milk stamp if offered by your local post office. Instead, ask for a stamp of the United States flag.

2. Refuse to accept mail at your home or business if it is postmarked with the Harvey Milk stamp. Simply write 'Return to Sender" on the envelope and tell your postman you won't accept it.

Who do Christians know that would send them Harvey Milk-stamped postage?
For that matter, who bothers using anything but 'Forever' stamps when they really have to send a letter? I think I've been running off of a set I bought in the late 00s.
For that matter, Who uses the mail anymore?

This is all kinds of confusing.

If anything they don't go far enough. It's sinful to receive mail. Only women should be receiving mail, and only within the bonds of holy matrimony, without protection, lights off, socks on.

As a side note, I'd like to mention that I actually met the man (at least I think that's his preferred designation, and will happily admit my error if wrong) in charge of the lobbying effort many years ago, when I still lived in San Diego. I mentioned that he'd saved me many an hour of boredom, since like every straight boy at the coffeehouse I hung out at, I spent my free time reading the free gay scene mags that were distributed there, including the one that he published. He laughed, and said that he was glad that his work had crossover appeal.

OB/GYN? What are you doing with one of those? The only man who should be touching you there is your husband.

Now, I've heard the response "What if the doctor is a woman?", but that's even worse. The only kind of woman who would be out in the workforce rather than at home raising children is the kind who's going to get some sort of sick jollies out of touching you in your dirty place.

At first I was like: WTF? People still use the actual physical mail for communication? And than I read it was fundamental Christians and realized that it matches. After all, who better to complain about an obsolete format of communication than people who are perpetually stuck in the last century.

What the post office should think about doing (to show that it celebrates all walks of life in america) is printing a stamp that helps celebrate Christmas. Maybe if we had a Christmas stamp, that would show Christians that the USPS like serving them as well as gay rights folk. hmmm....

Oh dear god. You know what the worst part is? Even if I a god fearing christian white man do not use this sinful stamp, my mail could easily be mixed in with mail of the Homosexual Agenda that bears this cursed Liberal stamp. I fear that all Americans who use the USPS could now be indirectly exposed to The Gay.

Some of my relatives do this with 20 dollar bills. It is a silly thing to do weather a 20 dollar bill or a stamp but otherwise i see nothing wrong with it.

Those 50+ years of Christmas stamps that you list was just a "butter up" so Christians wouldn't take notice to the USPS's long standing extreme gay rights agenda.
