He's seen almost like a mythological figure. They even have his corpse in the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - something he said NOT to do to begin with.

I suppose i could that about the commie, His government was still a mass murdering bureaucratic craphole, committed so many war crimes, he was internationally scorned, his state wasn't recognized until nearly his death and sort of turned a blind eye to the mass killing in it,but he was Austere.

He was also a communist, but he is probably the only communist i have and will ever have respect for.

Do remember that, during Roosevelt's administration the OSS stationed in Hanoi helped the guy. Archimedes Patti was the OSS officer in Hanoi who helped Minh clandestinely in exchange to create an intelligence network. He also helped Minh draft the Vietnam's Declaration of Independence.
