Well if you live in southern california perhaps.

Ah, so sexist and geographically discriminatory. That makes it so much better.

Note i never said all or most or even a sizable minority of women in general are "bimbos" but there are and likely always will exist some. I would imagine they are especially concentrated in Hollywood as are there male jock meat head dumb ass counter parts.

Acknowledging that some women are bimbos is not the same as implying all women are bimbos which would in fact be sexist and borderline misogynistic as well.

The word "bimbo" is sexist and misogynistic as hell. Considering that it's typically applied by people who are claiming to be above physical attraction and "deep" or some shit, it's also extremely hypocritical when used.

Seriously, if he was having problems getting laid, and had no moral issues with it, wouldn't the cold, logical thing be to put on a mask and rape a girl rather than go postal and kill half a dozen? Not that I support sexual assault, but in comparing the harm in raping a girl and getting his dick wet to the harm of killing six people and wounding another dozen and still dying a virgin...

I also have aspergers. :)

The reason he did not commit rape was because he didn't want to for one reason or another.

Or because he was sufficiently off-putting that no woman wanted to be alone with him and no men would invite him to their parties where he might accidentally stumble across a drunk woman sleeping it off quietly in a bedroom.

It wasn't his Aspergers that made him do this though, that's for sure.

There are other ways to commit that horrendous act.

He probably did it because he was depressed.

A man opened fire on three women early Saturday after the women refused to have sex with him and his friends, according to the Stockton Police.

Authorities said the women accompanied the men to Rosemarie Lane, near Pacific Avenue and March Lane. Around 1:45 a.m., the women declined when the men asked them to have sex, and the men ordered them to leave.

As the women were leaving, one of the men fired about eight rounds from a 9mm handgun at them, but no one was injured.

So, luckily he's a shitty shot, but in the same vein...so entitled to pussy that violence ensues when they don't get it.

There are a lot of factors that go into any act of this kind, sure, but it doesn't seem out of line to have a discussion about sex and expectations and all that entails.

It's interesting to see this after several posters made statements along the lines of "if it was a problem where men lash out violently when they felt entitled to sex we'd see more of this" and then not even a day later, we see more of that.

Considering that most rape is date rape, it's the most likely way.

He probably did it because he was depressed.

It's more than just that. People who are just depressed don't go on shooting sprees where they try to target women or advocate putting all women in concentration camps (and starving a majority of them to death).

The problem is that in our society we tend to see this stupidity all the time: this notion that men deserve to get laid. Why? I don't know even myself why so many people feel like women/men owe them anything.

For me this is a local news story, it just happened to run in conjunction with the report on the Santa Barbara shooting and they had the sense to relate the inherent similarities (while stressing that the crimes are not related in that Santa Barbara was premeditated and this was, apparently, specific and spur of the moment). But this is not going to be a national story, I mean, for Stockton even this is hardly enough to make the news when so many people who fire guns actually hit people in Stockton. But had I not been watching local news because my %*$*()#& remote stopped working again, I wouldn't have known about it. Had I not included this story, pretty likely anyone not in Northern California would have heard about it. Had this douchenozzle not done what he did, I may not have heard about it. And yet, it did happen. It could be argued rather than it not happening, up to this point 'we' simply didn't care.

Well it's possible for things to happen and be isolated incidents, I just want more robust evidence of that being his clear motivation in this case. :)

Words definitely can be sexist. Using gendered insults (bimbo is one of them) is definitely sexist.

*sigh*

No. There is hardly ever a such thing as an isolated incident. An isolated incident would be a random killing happening to a random person from a random source for no discernible reason. A crime committed because of a belief of entitlement to sex is not "isolated" in any sense of the term.

Well I think the idea is the more we understand these things, hopefully the easier they'll be to prevent or at least mitigate. I me yeah, wars happened since people began organizing into tribes, but we evolved and now have laws and rules to warfare which help minimize casualties in wars. Likewise it may be possible to mitigate the damage murderers do to society. 8)
