Um, well, a lot of their comments are similar, their economic policy is close...and the comment about gay marriage causing floods isn't too far off the mark.

i wouldn't be surprised if he did. it seems like a really really obvious point.

So one idiot makes a crack about gays, big deal. I've voted Labour at all general elections since I turned 18. Suddenly i'm a member of the TEA party when I decide Miliband and his clique aren't cutting the mustard. Gimme a break...

Who cares if it doubled? 20% of Canada's population is now foreign born and they're doing fine. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/canada-s-foreign-born-population-soars-to-6-8-million-1.1308179

So? Canada is a nation of immigrants. Ditto the US and Australia. Britain's foreign born population before WWII was very small.

No, that's not the point: their economic policies are similar, their record isn't exactly in favour of equal rights, and the immigration stances are close. I suppose voting for them into the EU parliament is acceptable if you disagree with the EU, but within the government, I don't see how they would change much for the better.

It's not just the comments about the gays (of which there have been more than one), it the homeopathy, racism and climate change denial.

You may well be a reasonable individual, but a large number of the people who you are supporting and voting for are total wackjobs.

Since Farage admitted that they don't have any domestic policy, nothing.

UKIP is a libertarian party. they want a flat tax and to massively cut the department of health. do you think they're going to steadfastly defend our national assets?

Making questionable decisions on economic policy is far better than calling for homeopathy to be covered on the NHS and denying climate change.

The former shows that the person is not an expert on economics. The latter suggests that the person is a loony who doesn't understand basic science.

So let's get this straight. I vote for a party (of which i'm not a member) and you expect me to be signed up to every dot and comma of that parties platform? I'll also be voting YES for Scottish Independence in September.

And how exactly do MEP's sell off national assets in the UK? Pray tell. I'm all ears... :eyebrow:
