I picked Mexico (2-1), but regardless, I'm rooting for Cameroon.
Your nation is like a son. What it does right is your merit, as well as what it does wrong is your fault. When you praise it, be lucid and avoid exaggeration. Praising it too much can make it indolent. On the other hand, when you criticize it, be harsh, but do not ridicule it. Do your best to improve it, not through derision or disdain, but through good examples and dedication.

I usually root for the weaker guys, but seeing Australia getting their asses kicked by Chile would be incredibly satisfactory for me.

It's Argentina Vs Australia, not Chile V Aus.

No. Chile and Australia will play today at 7:00 PM in Brasília Time.

This. Argentina are in Iran's group, whom I have in a sweepstake.

I simply see Chile as the main competitor of my favorites Spain and the Netherlands. I like the way Chile play football though, and I have some sympathy for the Australians as underdogs as well. Nice group, unfortunately only 2 teams can go to the second round.

Justice now done thanks to that goal...

But realistically Mexico would be 3-0 up, not 1-0, but for the dodgy linesman - and Cameroon have been really disappointing.

Lets hope the Netherlands win against Spain.

And that second goal of Croatia should have counted.

Also, between being screwed over against Argentina, and generally looking to have some pretty awesome fans around back in '10, it's safe to say that Mexico starts with a great deal of sympathy from me~

I like to imagine the Mexican team lifting the trophy on top of Teotihuacan's sun pyramid at dawn <_<

Do Europeans generally have higher opinions on Mexico fans? Between the lasers, throwing coins (regularly), throwing bottles of urine, etc. it's hard for me to have much sympathy for them...

I hope they do well, at least at this stage, since they're the next team Brazil plays. Avenge the Glorious Croatian Motherland, amigos!

I haven't experienced them at an actual match, only via TV. Who I have experienced in an actual match are Turks (Much better than their reputation) and Frenchmen (Terrible).

Central America in general seems particularly bad about that sort of thing - El Salvador has similar problems, as does Guatemala.

I think there's a difference between Mexico travelling supporters who can afford to go to Brazil (or Germany) to watch the WC and those who hop on a bus or van and come here for qualifiers/Gold Cup. Maybe a demographic difference means that Mexico supporters at the World Cup are, well, better behaved?

Well, that was very nicely played by Cameroon. If they could do that more often than once per match...

The defending was terrible even when sitting back. They've got to be more like they were in the last half hour, must keep getting forward, if they're to have any shot of making their next two games a competition.

Any signs of the Spanish and Dutch armed forces mobilizing for war over there?
