What, if anything, should we do?

The democratically elected parliament requires a unanimous vote to actually pass legalisation and with proportional representation and the number of extremists in parliament this is near impossible.

So the monarchy effectively rules by decree. I have achieved this through answering issues in a certain way... Unfortunately I can’t remember what those issues were. That plus a little bit of RP. Anyway my point is it’s easy to have moderate to high political freedoms and still have absolute power, you just have to be creative.

Huh. That's a rather unique and, I must say, deliciously evil approach. *golfclap*

Why, exactly, would people bother protesting this, based on what the article mentions about it?

Mind if I ask on what basis any of you would be protesting?

I mean, it annoys the living fuck out of me when protestors, especially the ones giving soundbytes, don't have a clue what they're actually there for beyond some vague, "uh like dude, yeah like they're like um bad and stuff..."

What are your points of contention and what are your goals?

Why bother to do anything? They are all about hating and double crossing each other now anyway. I mean, sure they liked their G20ness when everyone had money and it was all going to be super with a brave new world whatsit, but the EU can't even get on anymore, never mind these ridiculous G clubs.

I wish protesty types would actually find something worthwhile to protests.
The kind of middle-class mentality which actuates both those responsible for strategy and government has little knowledge of the new psychology and organizing ability of the totalitarian States. The forces we are fighting are governed neither by the old strategy nor follow the old tactics.

The last time I was anywhere near a "protest" was at university in 2003, when retarded students were protesting the Queen of England's visit because of her "embodiment of unjust monarchism".

We sang "God Save the Queen" at them.

I sense a lot of activism and possibly trouble. Everywhere the G20 goes, there's trouble there.
