Wouldn't it just be easier to invest in a potential mechanism that could allow a woman and a man to decide when to release genetic information?

Surrogates don't develop an embryo in another body before transfer.

How would we do that? Install a cyborganic vas deferens in every man?Kelinfort wrote:The Flood wrote:Don't know, but this technology must be invested in, and cost shouldn't be a factor. Of course it has to be affordable. It has to be more then that, it has to be free, fully covered by taxes. Universal healthcare is a must in any country that wishes to call itself a part of the developed world.Stagnant Axon Terminal wrote:The Flood wrote:Don't know, but this technology must be invested in, and cost shouldn't be a factor. They must also be affordable to even the poorest of women, convenient, and easy to come by. Someone has to foot the bill. How much are you going to donate?

We need free birth control for women*
AND
To develop better birth control for men*, which also has to be freeeee.
Vasectomies and tubals are also A+.

Getting a vasectomy before you have any children seems... unwise. People change their minds, you can never possibly know that you won't change yours in the future.

Or, maybe, our morals differ.
For example, I don't believe that creating children just to prove a point to women you view as promiscuous is moral.
I don't believe that it's moral to make medical decisions for other people against their will.
I don't believe that it's moral for a group of Christians to just keep making up rules about what God said that God didn't say.
But that's just me. Which is why I won't ever force you to have an abortion.

It's not to prove a point to "promiscuous women." It's to save the child's life. (And you also ignore married women who get abortions...)
I don't believe that it's moral to make medical decisions for other people against their will.
I agree. That's why it's important not to make the medical decision of death for the child.I don't believe that it's moral for a group of Christians to just keep making up rules about what God said that God didn't say.
It's not really a Christian issue, though Christians tend to be pro-life. I know many (female) non-Christians who are pro-life.But that's just me. Which is why I won't ever force you to have an abortion.
Glad to hear it. The issue is that the abortion is always forced on the child, who gets no say.
Is the child not human and worth our protection? Women and slaves used to not be.

*chorus of angels sing* ~You don't get to take away the right to bodily autonomy for women~
*Chorus gets louder* ~You don't get to strip women of their rights ever~
*chorus is overpoweringly loud* ~We are not incubators, stop trying to enslave us to our biology~
