I bought like 3 notebooks just to start off with.

In the average two decades it takes an individual of average caliber to learn Chinese, I've grown up with Tagalog and the American system of English, re-assimilated under the British system of English, picked up Indonesian and Malaysian, and gained a decent command of Hindi, Tamil and Sanskrit. Far from the ideal level of fluency for a language, but more than workable.
