Proof? I thought it was rigged, but when Ireland (my country) didn't get through, I have a feeling it isn't. Its just neighbouring countries vote for their neighbours.

It's all political. Terry Wogan told me so.
I mean, that Shakira wannabe from Portugal was probably the only non-depressing song in the first semi final, nice and upbeat. At least it wasn't a dreadful, wrist-slitting country song, which was eerily similar to a certain song by Sting. Yuck.

Let's just hope someone that hasn't won in decades wins. Conchita's also growing on me so I hope she does well.

Yes. Because it will piss the Russians, the Belarussians and the Armenians off. And anything that pisses them off deserves to win. Besides, her song is actually good. Portugal once again failed because it does what it does best: send a song that no one really likes.

Most of the posts I've been reading here are opinion. 'This song deserved to go through, this didn't, this song didn't because it was political' etc.
imo, people didn't vote for Israel so Israel didn't pass. When 1/3 of the songs don't pass, you can't say that Europe especially liked those songs.
