Extremes are what I am opposed to. Drama will always exist in life, in our lives. It's just that that's a state that shouldn't be actively sought. IMO, again.

The reason why I say it is a sign of maturity is that children do not weigh these things in. Although they also make choices, albeit more often than not, these choices are forced upon them by parents and family.

Well children are children. The parent can be overly permissive, or completely hovering upon their backs. And that could contribute how fast they mature.

Then again, my parents left me to my own devices since entering high school. That's quite the leap of faith... I must say for a parent to do such a thing.

Gods know how can someone find drama as balancing and peace as unnatural is beyond me, but you're right nevertheless.

Eh, but they hovered over you while you were in your formative first years. It's not strange for many a parent to back off when the child matures into a teenager. Of course, that depends on the levels of maturity for their age these teens display.

There are some teens I wouldn't trust with $1 and do what I asked them to because their levels of maturity aren't too great. There are others who are, honestly, quite trustworthy and mature.

I was at the verge of a nervous breakdown once because of my own self control and stress going on. It was close to my graduation from college. I am more relaxed now but I do want to lose control and submit to my own base desires at times. Itd be fun for once to be able to

Anyways, maturity comes when the teen or child is self aware of their position in society... Or so I have been taught anyways.

That reminds me, some of the teachers were concerned because of the fact I lived in a 'tiger mom' family when I was younger, haha!

They were concerned that as soon as I was released from my familial clutches, I would either a) run amok and become a helpless case, or b) become too dependent. Well, surprise surprise. Parents backed off post my thirteenth birthday, albeit bit by bit, and I believe I will become a functioning member of society.

Also, I got an actual part time job now. I felt the obligation to do so anyways.
