second point, what is aspirin? what is it made of?

And if she has found something that helps good for her. However I still wpuld not be so keen on going "you should take X for Y" and expect people to take me at face value

As for your second point aspirin is a medicine made out of - wait for it - aspirin, or acetylsalicilic acid. It is an analgesic and is also used at times for a fever. However a feveray be indicatory of many things and not just a fever, so it is better to go to a doctor to get diagnosed and get tests done so they can prescribe something that will cure the disease.

You know what I am a partisan of? Combining both medicines. As in, ok, you have depression. Take the prescribed medication, but also take vitamins that can improve absorption of minerals and nutrients that can, if possible, help improve your moods.

You have high blood pressure. Take the meds, and also add things like resveratrol to your diet to aid in controlling your blood tension. You know what I mean?

that makes sense.

But there's no need to worry over every single little cough, headache, sore, or ache.

Well, there is cause for concern. Especially in people who have compromised immune systems, cari. ;)

Well, I mean there's no concern for me not being a true future professional, because I'll be the bestest proffesional-pershun evah! :3

That's what I thought you meant. But, generally speaking, there's no need to go to the hospital for every little thing. Got a flu, stay at home, rest, stay in bed, drink fluids, etc. Complications, call your doctor. Feel really really bad, try otc for symptoms. But there's no need to go to the doctor for everything. If you're chronically ill, you already know what to do.
