It is simply recognizing what you are and where you belong. Egalitarianism is sex and gender neutral, while feminism is sex neutral but gender focused towards the feminine, that much is clear in the name. I can support feminism and I recommend that other men do, but as a male I cannot consider myself a feminist. It is a movement primarily meant just for women even if it is devoted to making the sexes equal in society.
