"In god we trust" doesn't name a specific religion.

I'd merely reaffirm that the articles and the amendments of the US Constitution are above any other choice or text by any legislative or executive body of the US. By striking out the offending bits.

I don't know why everyone is over-reacting. The Bible has had a disproportionate influence in Louisiana, for them to make it their 'State Book' is about as important as the Robin being our 'State Bird'. It means nothing, except to those who care. Most do not care, and so it shall mean nothing.
