The term you refer to is "people of color" I assume. No, that term is not racist, as minorities within America chose to call themselves that. It was invented by minorities, whereas "colored" was invented by whites. And white privilege does exist, or else such economic racial inequalities wouldn't exist. White privilege is not something to feel ashamed of, it is simy something that must be acknowledged so we can work to better our society.

Humans will always fight, despite skin color. Look at the history of Europe, for example. White countries slugging it out with other fellow Caucasians.
