Mudrakers Thread (Finding the dirt on Politicians)

Postby Alouite » Fri Apr 18, 2014 6:25 pm

Okay. So everyone knows that most politicians are corrupt. But yet they keep getting elected. So, for those NSers who want to learn the dirty past of these political arena manipulators then help this thread. This is how it will work. A poster posts a politicians name and until someone finds a good source with the information about them. I will start this off with a hard one:

Delaware State Senator Steve Smyk. It might be hard but I will be very impressed if you find something. Posting below you can ask me for more details about him.
National Liberalism, National School Economics, National Dividend, Constitutional Originalism, Protection of US Domestic Trade, The Chinese Gov't in Exile in Taipei, and Ending the War on Nouns
Hyman Minsky
Totalitarianism, the Destruction of the Environment, Racism, and, most of all, people who end statements in questions?
The Patriot Act, The Illegitimate Communist Authorities in China, Economic Libertarianism, Absolutism and Communism

Mudraking [traditional 1900's] still exist?

I know they do in some form but in the form of panic journalism.

And so I have revived it in nationstates. But yeah try to avoid "He/She/It is the Anti-christ etc." excuses.

We haven't had a good witch hunt since the Dreyfus Affair.

I am more familiar with muckraking.

One of the leading muckrakers was Ida Tarbell, from my home town.

I like her because she confined her revelations solely to the corporate fat cats who were raping America in her day.

Guys such as John D. Rockefeller.

So have fun with your politicians, but remember who the real enemy is.

We are focussing on the the Delaware state senator. Until we get something on him we don't go off topic.

Now there's a term that hasn't seen much use in about a century.
Communalist, Social Ecologist, Bioregionalist,
Sex-Positive Feminist, Queer, Trans-woman, Polyamorous

This site stresses me out, so I rarely come on here anymore. I'll try to be civil and respectful towards those I'm debating on here. If you don't extend the same courtesy then I'll probably just ignore you.

If we've been friendly in the past and you want to keep in touch, shoot me a telegram

Are you seriously gonna keep threadjacking this. It was supposed to be a thread where someone puts a politician's name and position (starting with the one I did) and has NSers look for a legitimate piece of information about the bad things they have done. Why do you have to persist in this threadjack?

I'm referring to an incident that occurred before any of us were born in which all of the information is already in history textbooks and the man who did it is dead. It should be readily apparent that I'm being facetious.

Do we really need to revive the modern witch hunt? The media does a good enough job of airing people's dirty secrets. No need for us to join in on that shame brigade.
