I don't know what you're on about given I just said I didn't put America in the list because it IS definitely predominantly Christian, outside certain pockets like the SF bay area and whatnot.

because his word on this subject is compromised by the very political expedience of both his actions and what he has to say about them.

you won't have much success as a community organizer among urban african americans without ties to the community, which is strongly centered around the black churches. and somehow a kid that was raised without any particular religion just so happens to start attending and become a member of just such a church exactly when he is involved in just such a community organizer role.

And as you mentioned in your last post, there's another explanation entirely for it. One which is plausible and believable.

I thought the general etiquette was that without evidence, or a lack of convincing explanation, one didn't question another's faith?

my explanation is ridiculously more plausible than the other possibility. i mean, most people are the religion they are for social reasons anyways, but they also start out in a church. obama, on the other hand, decided to take up religion for some reason. and upon deciding to go to church had to choose one. he could have chosen any - its chicago, we've got all sorts. he chose one that helped him most in his professional life.

Don't confuse Christianity with Judaism. I doubt many Christians would even attempt to read Leviticus, much less understand and legislate it. :)

The number of Christians who oppose homosexuality and use Leviticus as their justification would seem to suggest otherwise.

Yeah, you'd be wrong on that count. Christians where I live are absolutely in LOVE with Leviticus. Except for, you know, all the parts about eating shrimp, wearing clothing of mixed fabrics, and pretty much anything that doesn't revolve around telling gays that they are going to Hell.

Another good choice would be Mammon, he seems to rule almost the complete known world secretly...great benefits will await you !
Depending on what you prefer for afterlife (severe lifelong worshipping required), Allah seems to offer some pretty good things (paradise filled with virgins, aso), while, if you´re more of the sensitive kind, the Christian God would be okay for you (eternal sitting on cloud seven while prancing, singing "glory, glory" or playing the harp and being stupid happy, and provides some cute pair of wings too).
You´re more the action-guy ? Well, then try those old-style pantheons, they´ve got lots of action there, including war, intrigues, orgies, love and extramarital adventures, pretty fine soap.
Hinduism is cool, as it provides you with endless experiences of being a grubworm maybe, or a NS-character, but it´s hard to memorize all those millions of different gods...
But wait - my friend here Mr. Lou Cypher is accidentally claiming to have some open position for devouted followers (never raped and sacrificed a virgin before ? oh, you will love it), he would offer great bargains too; just sign...
And there are many others too - well, that´s really a hard decision to make, especially when some of those gods are really possessive to a grade, so take my advice and stay as an Atheist, that´s much more easier...
