Today is Good Friday

Today is Good Friday. Everything is closed on our island. Yes, it includes mail and island government. Some city government offices have had the whole week off. So is it like that in your nation. That is if its majority Christian.

I put in a poll in order to see how widespread this practice is in this 21 century.

I didn't work today but that's only because I haven't worked since Monday. The way this winter has been, we ran out of winter projects and haven't been able to start doing ground works for the summer.

But anyway, everything shutting down due to a two thousand year old zombie outbreak is ridiculous and you should be ashamed of your country.

I don't think so, but I'm not 100% sure. i really don't pay attention to holidays because I don't particularly like any of them.

It was okay. The kids had fun. We made a baked mac and cheese for dinner. We have cherry pie for dessert. Pretty good friday.

The nation didn't shutdown, but Good Friday is a national holiday here.

We don't, although we are a Christian nation, we do not shut down. We figure the Good Lord knows that the nation needs to keep going.

No. Congress closes due to me being christian, but business owners and people who head our other government institutions (mail, defense force, PBS) have the choice to close or not.

Anyways, in Maryland they have Spring Break that goes from last monday till the upcoming monday. But as a kid I always was taught about the Easter Bunny rather than a creepy zombie that didn't want to die after being nailed to a cross for a long period of time.

Although Liberillia's many fish restaurants see a slight increase in customers due to Christians avoiding meat on Good Friday, there are no other significant happenings due to it being Good Friday.

About half of my country is shut down but mail,Goverment and some factory's are still open. The military still does what it does everyday but they all get an extra hour off today.
