I'm not seeing it. I don't see heavily armed patrolling the street with assault rifles and combat gear. Until I see Columbus PD rolling down the street in an M1 Abrams, I can't take police militarization views seriously. It seems more like grossly over exaggerated claims to me.

Sort of, the NG deployed 4 to the seige, unarmed, but they were used to provide shield and cover for officers at the perimeter. None of the NG deployed equipment was armed actually. They were there purely in support capacity. These were deployed based upon Koresh's threat of having anti-tank rockets and the ability to blow up the M3 Bradley APC's which had been deployed earlier for that purpose.
