PSG?

As I am aware the Nationstates 2 site is down which had some good qualities about it despite its failed coding system. Now Nationstates is a very active site with very active members.

Anyway on to my point a political simulator game. This means a new coding system and making the game look nice and clean like nationstates 2 was however what we also need is dedicated coders who are wiling to give up there time for this little project. If your intrsted or have any questions, queries or concerns post here.

Now as I am aware the code for Nationstates is free form or something like that but correct me if I am wrong. This project would obviously take the time of its members up and will probably last quite a bit.

We need help wherever possible.

NS was always active, moreso than NS2...Besides, everyone knows the Atheists of NSG try to keep the God Qualities out...

I know that they were always very active. But basically what I want to do with number 3 is combine the clean look of number two with the great codding that went into number 1 however with the power to make additions such as a trading system and also a war system but much MUCH better than that that was present in number 2. Also what do you mean by god qualities?

Meh, I think NS is set up the best it needs to be, war and trade can be done in RP, and the game itself isnt encumbered by it, its win-win...

Just to let you know, you'll need permission from max for this. He owns the rights to NationStates, I believe, so if you want to make a 'Nationstates 3', you'll have to ask him first, to avoid breaking any laws.

1) Max Barry & co. are okay with this?

2) What coding language(s) is everything in? You aren't likely to have much success attracting coders without stating that, since a lot of coders only know a few coding languages.

Yes, but did you make sure he hasn't gotten permission before you authoritatively asserted that he can't do it?

Given that he just made the thread, it's likely he hasn't. He'd have to contact Salusa, I believe, who would in turn pass it on to Max. At least, that's what I did when we made the NS musical.

I talk to Max fairly regularly. I'm quite certain he would not release the rights to somebody who is trying to recruit his first developer for the project from NSG.

Well, what if we just made a completely new game? That would be OK right? Like different title. EG: eRepublik

Im not sure what there is to miss when it comes to paying for basic features you can get for free, and a few fancy graphics that you can get off site...

It's the dynamic, official alliances which were automatically listed, and the trade statuses, and cosmetic things, like not having to go to NSEconomies or the NSTracker for graphs and charts of what we have to do.
