To be fair, most agricultural production is done East of the Blue/Red Border, but I do not see why OP would chop off the well-off states in the Mid-West while keeping impoverished states like Michigan, Mississippi, Alabama, and West Virginia, we are making a profit from the former and a deficit from the latter.
