Pluto: Planet or Not?

It's not a debate. There aren't two sides. The definition of "planet" has always been a bit arbitrary, so to make things more consistent, scientists decided to refine the definition, and Pluto no longer qualified.

It's sort of like when your insurance company determines that, because of their new policies, you no longer qualify for your current rate. You may not like their decision, but there's no debating it.

I read they now call it a dwarf planet

Explain why 1 dwarf planet around the same size, and another one bigger then Pluto got labeled as Dwarf's, when they were bigger?

Well, for us in History learning the historical theories on what blood does can be interesting.

No, planets are not one big circle. There are eight planets in the solar system. No more, no less.

Eh, the sun has enough orbital pull to manage to keep more than 8 possible planets. Pluto, even if it is a dwarf planet, is clear proof of it.

Now, I am not saying Pluto is a planet, but what I am saying is that it has that ability due to the gravitational force it has.

Yes. Pluto is a Planet. If Pluto is 2nd largest in the Kuiper belt, then why not classify the biggest one as a planet as well?

Because it does not meet the astronomical criteria that was decided upon for defining a "planet".

Pluto is a planet. If you go by the definition that declassified Pluto, it also declassifies Earth.

By that strict absolutist interpretation nothing is a planet. Luckily that's not what the phrase means.

Pluto is a minor planet, dwarf planets are minor planets. The term "minor planet" is a broad classification term which encompasses pretty much everything in the solar system which isn't a planet or comet.

That's a rather poor analogy. We can change the definition of planet with the stroke of a pen. If everybody wanted Disneyland to be a planet they could simply add "and Disneyland" to the definition of a planet and everybody would rejoice.
