Perhaps I have been listening to the wrong songs. Excuse my plebian musical culture. Ai Se Eu Te Pego has given me an allergy. Whenever I hear a song one too many times I find myself banging my head against walls in agony waiting for it to stop. Tíocfaidh ár lá can be interpreted multiple ways. Either friendly greeting or an IRA rally cry. Meaning literally 'our time will come' it could either mean a united Ireland, or simply the time of happiness.
As well he could have said a similar sounding phrase 'Tíocfaidh bhur lá' which means, you'll have your chance at happiness, a wellwishing phrase.
