I think the United States definitely hold that position at the moment, however as the economies of other countries (Russia, China and Germany) grows and the US's slowly declines, they will surpass the US in military power.

There's a reason why they are in the top position.

The military budget is ridiculously high. It's in fact more than the top 14 nations besides the U.S. combined.

Right. There are loads of things wrong with this. I'll give you three.
A)The UK is the strongest European country(Not including Russia, which is mainly Asian).
B)Japan is not more powerful than South Korea.
C)The USA is not weaker than Russia or China(Military strength).

China can't even fully mobilize its military. Literally, its military is too big for it to function at capacity. Even if they just mobilize -part- of their military, they don't have the means to deploy within the extremes of their own country, let alone overseas.

and Russia's military is actually pretty damn laughable right now, they just have some sexy missiles and that's pretty much it. Their military is said to be around 1.3 million strong, but the Audit Chamber revealed that the Russian military is roughly 700,000 strong in the face of the US's 1.36 million. That, and, while not as bad as China, they have the same issue of not being able to make significant deployments anywhere that doesn't immediately border Western Russia.

This except one thing Russia shouldn't even be on here at all. After the Cold War Russia is kinda a back water place. And I think that's why Putin is doing to Ukraine, he's trying to rebuild the soviet empire to what it was before the iron curtain fell.

To say the Russian military is "laughable" and only has "sexy" missile (although it indeed as "sexy" missiles) is a pretty damn good show of ignorance on this matter. Of course Russia isn't the superpower it once was, but it is very far from being laughable. It's capabilities have also been greatly increased over the years, Russia is no longer the dead horse it was in the 1990s. Russia is now the third highest defense spender, is undergoing a 600 billion US dollar rearmament program, increasingly seeing military reforms pay off. Force projection of Russia is improving as well, including once again heading towards a world wide development of it's naval forces..which is seeing a impressive number of new ships being built unseen since Soviet times.

Russia is 2/3 Asian geographically, but 3/4 of the country's population lives in Europe. Moscow alone accounts for almost 1/10th of the country's population.

Never. Military power is never decided via statistics but rather the capacity of a nation to project its force.

Which are measured using statistics.

Sorta. But it can be decided via statistics.

Statistics are not very helpful, most of the time. Counting numbers of tanks, planes and so on ignores numerous factors which determine military performance.

If you used this simple methodology to predict which military would win in each campaign or battle, you'd be wrong in many historical cases.
