All that high tech gear doesn't mean shit to the average infantryman who is still going to have to take the fight to the enemy in a frontal assault.

Because then you just gave a few thousand tons of rock to use as obstacles. The entire Italian campaign in WW2 is why you fighting in the mountains is a really bad idea.

An American invasion of Switzerland would likely be soft-power and air based for the most part, and capitalize on eliminating Swiss production and Command/Signal and Administration (which, even with all their subterranean fortresses, would make the Swiss military almost completely non-operational) before any conventional forces ever set foot in the country.
