But Japan also has its R and D done by corporations. So by your logic Japan isn't advanced either.

The USSR had corporations design its technology for Christ sake.

America did not invent the Internet. Nor did it invent Laser Weaponry. The actual advancement does not belong to the U.S. but to company's that created them. I'm talking about advancements made by places such as University's, Institutes, Research Labs.

The Internet was invented by Americans. SO were lasers. Universities found the use of laser weaponry, and NASA made the internet.[/quote]

NONE OF THESE WERE ACTUALLY INVENTED OR DESIGNED BY THE UNITED STATES! A technological advancement by a country means that it is not distributed throughout the rest of the world and it was designed and invented by a source in the direct employment of said country's government.

INCORRECT! The United States signed but did not ratify two UN Treaties, the Test Ban on Nuclear Weapons and the Treaty banning the use of Nuclear Weapons. Meaning it's Nuclear Stockpile must remain inactive as since it did not ratify the treaties on its part, Nuclear Weapons are illegal for its use. The nations who signed and ratified the treaty are allowed to keep Active Nuclear Weapons for emergency defensive purposes only.

2: NASA works for the US Government. You said in labs and universities. Americans made lasers deadly in a lab in a university.

There is no such treaty which outright bans the use of nuclear arms. Having not ratified the Test Ban Treaty (whichever) merely means the US is not obligated to follow its provisions. This does not place its arms in some legal limbo.

Look it up and anytime you search you will see Russia has the most nukes and Japan is the most technologically advanced.

Actually Russia has lost a fair amount of nukes since it has no longer been the USSR, mostly because it no longer has it's Nuclear Submarine Fleet, but it still has the world's largest Nuclear Arsenal.

In a 1v1 hypothetical, I would have to say the USA.

In a Alliance hypothetical many nations would win these being the ones belonging to NATO.

Actually, and again no offence, I would have to say any Country that has been militarily active longer than the U.S. so any country that has been in wars for more than 300 years. You see I don't look at it so much as technology and budgets, but experience. Countries that have longer military history, they have more experience fighting, they've picked up tricks and tips, developed special tactics for certain situations, I look at it a matter of experience. These countries will know what to do and when to do it.

So my favor would go to countries like Great Britain, Japan, Germany, Russia, China, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Austria, Egypt, Greece, and Israel. No offence to the U.S. but all these countries just have more experience, more knowledge of war, better tactics. Brain over Brawn.

Agreed. I mean a couple French Navy Frigates could sink a whole North Korean Fleet. North Korea should stick to land instead of the sea's.
