Your faith must be astounding if you can trust the Alien games anymore.

I've never played any of em, so I've got a clean slate, and in watching the trailers and looking at screenshots, all I need is that fucking delicious looking lo-fi sci fi they've got going. It looks like it'll be a cool game, no blasting aliens to bits, just one alien, like the movie, so hopefully they don't fuck up.

Survival horror an' all, but it looks like they're trying to get the feeling of the first movie back in there.

I am looking for a non-functioning pistol of a rather specific type, which I will wear on my belt while cosplaying my favorite of my recurring RP characters.

It is called a "ruchnitsa", and it has an iron barrel nestled into a channel cut in a wooden stick, which also serves as a handle. There are often decorative metal plates on the sides of the wooden handle, sometimes with elaborate filagree and niello designs.

I am thinking it would probably be easier to purchase various components and assemble my own custom fake pistol rather than attempt to find exactly what I am looking for. Actually, probably any wheel lock or snaphaunce lock pistol that is highly decorated would work okay, although it would not be as satisfying. I have no idea why I am bringing this up here.

Not really a fan of survival-horror games though.

I remember walking down the hallway with the electrical cords flailing around and whatnot. I was crying, covering my eyes, screaming at every moving shadow, and I jumped out of my chair into a table when a necromorph came to life.

My girlfriend laughed the whole time she played the game. Guess I don't wear the big kid pants in the relationship. ;~;

Huh? I don't understand your second sentence. But I do go to chess club, play a few rounds casually, balance some of the chess pieces in way that seem to break the universe and just hangout as well. I usually stay for a goo three hours.

On a more serious note, I feel that I am not doing enough to put my political opinions into action. I have never found a candidate with views anywhere close to mine, and get little satisfaction from voting in elections. I have considered the possibility of a career in politics, but I am quickly discouraged when I realize that being a professional politician is about who you know rather than what you know.

There must be some other avenue to political influence that doesn't require people skills that I do not have and doesn't involve compromising my values, but I am not sure what that avenue would be.

BTW, I am a democratic socialist and also a devout Christian of no specific denomination.
